Located in Northwest Arkansas, Rogers and Lowell continue to be great places for businesses and residents to thrive. Currently, there is well over $80 million in private development occurring within our two cities, not including public funded projects like road construction and quality of life amenities.
Rogers continues to lead the region in job growth (16% increase since 2018) and the new Unified Development Code has been positively impactful on new commercial and residential development. Benton County led the nation in wage growth at 15.5% for the 4th Quarter of 2024 and the median household income in Rogers has grown to $82,993 in 2024, an 12% increase over the past five years. The unemployment in Rogers stands at 2.1% (February 2025), well below the national rate of 4.1%.
A spirit of entrepreneurship flows through our area, resulting in the strength of three industry leaders headquartered in Northwest Arkansas: Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., J.B. Hunt Transport Inc., and Tyson Foods, Inc. Many other Fortune 500 companies have offices in our area where they enjoy our low unemployment rate, below average cost of living, and a highly skilled workforce.
Manufacturing also plays a major role in our community with major makers and shakers operating within our cities. Companies like Bekaert Corporation, First Brands Corporation/Clorox, Kennametal, Inc., Mundo-Tech, Inc. and Preformed Line Products, just to name a few.
