Community based scholarships provide our local students financial assistance and encourage them to continue their education. Donors include businesses of all sizes, clubs, foundations, professional firms, service companies, industries and individuals who understand that education is one of the pillars of success for a strong and vibrant community. The Rogers Development Foundation in partnership with the Chamber and Rogers Public Schools coordinates the program.
Students use our scholarships to attend a variety of community colleges, vocational training centers, colleges and universities across the state and nation. Any graduating Senior at a Rogers high school may apply for our Community Based Scholarship program by completing an application form.
All scholarship recipients must complete specific requirements in order to receive their monies.
For the Fall semester, scholarship recipients must complete a Thank You letter to each donor, submit a Disbursement Form to their college or university and provide a copy of their schedule to the foundation. Spring semester requirements include a copy of the student’s schedule as well as a copy of Fall grades (with GPA).
Scholarship donations don’t have to be large to provide aid to a student in need. They may be awarded in any amount. Giving a little makes a big difference in many lives. Setting up a scholarship is easy, and most donors choose to select their own recipient by reviewing applications submitted. If you are interested in becoming a donor and setting up a scholarship, please contact Katie Burns at (479) 636-1240.
Introducing a New Scholarship Web Portal for Donors and Recipients
A new website portal is now available for our donors and students. If you’re a donor, set up an account to log in and manage your account payments and view which recipients have been dispersed.
Scholarship recipients should set up an account to log in and download the Student Information Packet (provides instructions on the three steps for disbursement directly to their school), view checklists, download the disbursement form, view status of the process and scholarships paid, and upload proof of enrollment and transcripts.
