The Artists of Northwest Arkansas (ANA) will celebrate National Swap Ideas Day with a free, interactive community painting experience on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the ANA Gallery & Studio, 300 N. 2nd Street, Rogers AR.
Join ANA for a collaborative paint event on September 9, 2026 at the ANA Studio to kick off our Fall into Art Membership Show. In celebration of National Swap Ideas Day, we will be painting on shared artworks with all the attending artists.
Participants will begin by painting on a canvas and then exchange works throughout the session, allowing each person to contribute their own ideas and creative touches to the shared paintings. By the end of the event, each finished piece will reflect the contributions of the group.
The event invites participants to experience the spirit of National Swap Ideas Day through a creative exchange of ideas, perspectives and artistic expression. No painting experience is necessary, and all supplies will be provided. The collaborative paintings will be display in the ANA Studio the following day during Fall Into Art – September Membership Show opening reception. Both events are free and open to the public.
“Art is one of the most powerful ways people share ideas,” said Stan Dark, president of ANA. “This event gives our community an opportunity to experience that exchange in a very literal and creative way. Each person contributes something unique, and together they create something none of them would have made alone.”
Fall Into Art – The ANA September Membership Show. With Autumn just around the corner, it’s time to show those fall colors. An average of 150 pieces of artwork from about 60 ANA artist members will be hung throughout the ANA Gallery and Studio from September 2 – September 25, 2026. The opening artists reception is Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm.
There’s food, drinks, music, great art and lots of artists to visit with.
Members of the media are invited to attend a preview of the collaborative painting experience on Wednesday, September 9, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Opportunities will be available to photograph and film participants as they create and exchange artwork and to speak with ANA artists and representatives about the event and preview the Fall Into Art Show.
