Preferred Office Technologies Chief Information Officer Nathan Handley has earned his Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) certification, building on more than 32 years of hands-on IT experience and over 23 years in Director and CIO leadership roles. The certification reflects Nathan’s continued commitment to strengthening his expertise as cybersecurity risks and technology continue to evolve.
For Nathan, earning the CISO certification wasn’t simply about adding another credential. “As an industry-leading Managed Service Provider, we owe it to our customers to deliver the best and most current support and industry knowledge,” said Handley. “I feel that one of the best ways to continue that high level of standard is to seek advanced training and experience. For me, the CISO track just made sense in this ever-evolving cyber risk world we live in.”
Nathan also believes strong cybersecurity starts with people. “In companies today the largest security risk is employees and their actions.” Handley said. “The best defense to cyber threats is proper and continual education of employees. Tools are absolutely a necessity but ultimately, they will be wasted money and efforts unless employees are educated and confident in how they handle cyber risks.”
