In celebration of its 35th anniversary season, Walton Arts Center is inviting the community to drop-in for a season preview and open house 4:30-6:45 pm on Thursday, Aug. 27.
Having a hard time picking which shows to see? Walton Arts Center’s programming team will provide a season overview at 5 and 6 pm, reviewing the Arkansas previews, can’t-miss performances and returning favorites for this season. Walton Arts Center’s box office and communications team will also be on hand to answer any questions about the season’s programming.
With several shows in our lineup inspired by books, we’ve also partnered with NWA Bookfest for the season. During the open house, Two Friends Books will be onsite for "Beers and Books" in the Rose Garden. Books, food and beer will be available to purchase on site as you learn more about the books behind some of our shows and meet fellow book and theater lovers.
But the show doesn’t stop with what’s on the stage. Guests can also learn about programs and services offered including the Classroom Series, the Friends program and accessibility services and get tech help with the ticket wallet and explore cocktail classes for the season. Always wanted to learn how to join the volunteer corps or local crew? Now is the time!
Guests can also see This Wheel’s Still on Fire: The Legacy of Levon Helm exhibition in Alexander Gallery before it closes on Sunday, Sept. 6.
The open house is free, but you must reserve your tickets at waltonartscenter.org.
