The Friends of the Rogers Historical Museum present a members-only Rogers History Club program, “Education in Rogers” at the Rogers Historical Museum on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

Grab your imaginary apple and skip on down memory lane! Join our panel of retired Rogers Public School teachers as they look back on public education in Rogers throughout the past 50 years, swap schoolyard secrets, tell teacher tales, and share chalk-dusted dreams.

Audience participation is encouraged during the Q&A portion of the program. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

FREE for Friends members. Not-yet-Friends members may join at friendsrhm.org or at the door.

Rogers History Club attendees are invited to bring memorabilia from their Rogers school days for show and tell

before the program.

The temporary exhibit, “School Days: Education in Rogers”, will also be open before the event from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Beyond reading, writing, and arithmetic, this exhibit features the history of education in Rogers from the time when students gained a basic education in a one-room school house to the introduction of modern educational systems influenced by state and national social changes and reforms.
