The Show Can’t Go On Without Volunteers!

Volunteers at Walton Arts Center provide support to nearly every aspect of the nonprofit’s operations and donate thousands of service hours each year. With the start of the 35th anniversary season in September, there has never been a better time to join their ranks and support the arts in our community.

The show could not go on without volunteers. They help with a wide range of tasks from scanning tickets and handing out programs to pouring drinks in the Friends Lounge and helping patrons find their seats. Volunteers play an essential role in making the arts fun and accessible to all.

Along with the opportunity to give back, volunteers often cite finding community and building friendships with likeminded individuals as their favorite part of volunteering at Walton Arts Center. Though volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds, they all share a love for the arts and for the Northwest Arkansas community.

Walton Arts Center also makes sure they have fun. Volunteers are recognized throughout the year with movie nights and potlucks, volunteer appreciation night and a complimentary ticket program where they can receive tickets to various shows for their hours of service.

New volunteers are offered a mix of virtual and hands-on training and mentorship throughout the season to provide the best possible patron experience. Volunteers also have flexible schedules, as opportunities are posted online, volunteers can choose from morning, evening and weekend shifts.

No matter your background or schedule, you can find a fun, rewarding, inspiring place to serve at Walton Arts Center. Learn more at waltonartscenter.org/volunteer.
