The Rogers Historical Museum presents the upcoming temporary exhibit, School Days: Education in Rogers. The exhibit will be on display in the Collections Gallery from September 5, 2026-April 3, 2027.
The late 1800s were a time of social change and education reform which impacted school-age children in Rogers and the surrounding area. These changes included the first significant push for an organized state school system and increasing access to education which offered new opportunities to many rural children in Northwest Arkansas.
Learn about the history of education in Rogers from the time when students gained a basic education in a oneroom
