Celebrate a major national milestone at the Rogers Historical Museum’s annual Family Day on Saturday, June 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, this year’s theme is “American Carnival.”

Family Day offers a unique blend of whimsical carnival fun and living history, ensuring there is something for every generation to enjoy.

• Heritage Craft Demonstrations: Visitors can step back in time with heritage craft demonstrations, watching local artisans showcase their skills in woodcarving and turning, blacksmithing, lacemaking, spinning, and weaving.

• Interactive Fun: Get hands-on with crafts and carnival games at various booths.

• Nature & Gardens: Take a relaxing stroll through Vera’s Victorian Garden and the Butterfly Park. Kids can participate in a special flower scavenger hunt while exploring the blooms.

“Family Day is a wonderful museum annual tradition where we bring history to life,” says Museum Director Serena Barnett. “With the ‘American Carnival’ theme, we are celebrating the 250th anniversary of our nation by bringing the community together to experience the crafts, sounds, and joys of our shared heritage. From the clanking of the blacksmith’s hammer to the quiet beauty of our gardens, this event captures the spirit of our heritage in a way that is interactive and fun for the whole family. We are thrilled to invite the community to celebrate this milestone in American history with us.”

No carnival is complete without great food! Family-friendly food options will be available on-site to keep everyone fueled for a day of exploration and play.

Family Day is a free event. Come celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with us in Downtown Rogers!
