Hobbs State Park Honors David Pryor for Helping Secure Land Now in State Park System

The visitor center at Hobbs State Park in northwest Arkansas has been renamed in honor of former Arkansas Gov. David Pryor, two years after his passing.

Pryor played a key role in acquiring the land from the Hobbs Estate Trustees, which became part of Arkansas's state park system in 1979 after the Arkansas General Assembly approved legislation allowing the state to purchase the property.
