The Comedy Zone: Andy Woodhull

Starr Theater | 7:30 pm

Two decades into his comedy career, Andy Woodhull still has as much fun on stage as he did at his first open mic. He was the first comedian to make his network television debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and he's the first comedian to make a return performance here in The Comedy Zone.

Fans rave about his clean delivery and creative call backs and his comedy albums have been played over 50 million times on Pandora and Sirius Radio. His Dry Bar comedy special has over 12 million views on YouTube. All-tickets are $28.75.

Australian Chamber Orchestra

Baum Walker Hall | 8 pm

Experience an evening of classical favorites by one of the world’s most dynamic musical groups, the Australian Chamber Orchestra. The orchestra lives and breathes music, making waves around the world for its explosive performances that redefine orchestral music. With their fearless leader of 35 years, Artistic Director Richard Tognetti, the Orchestra celebrates 50 years of transformative music-making with a program showcasing why this orchestra is one of the most distinct, inventive and renowned ensembles on the world stage today.

A new work from John Luther Adams, commissioned by the ACO as part of a residency in Australia, sees the orchestra literally transforming, changing shape on stage as the music asks you to see beyond the visible horizon to the true, limitless expanse before us. Tognetti then evokes that sense of the sublime in Vaughan William’s The Lark Ascending, beloved by audiences everywhere. The concert culminates in an arrangement for strings of Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel’s String Quartet in E-flat major, with the thrilling energy and virtuosity of the ACO on full display.

This performance is part of the 10x10 Arts Series, an intriguing and innovative showcase of art forms, meticulously curated to satisfy the artistic curiosity of the Northwest Arkansas community. Crafted by our programming team, 10x10 performances invite everyone to venture into uncharted artistic territories and try something new. Tickets are just $10, allowing all in the community to experience the performing arts.
