Fan-Favorite A Cappella Competition Celebrates 10 Years of Vocal Excellence

Published Monday, December 1, 2025 2:40 pm

Auditions are now open for a cappella groups nationwide to earn their place in the 10th annual VoiceJam A Cappella Competition on Saturday, April 11 at Walton Arts Center.

Groups of two to 20 performers have until Thursday, Jan. 29 to submit their video audition materials online at waltonartscenter.org/voicejam. There is no age limit for participants and no school affiliation is necessary to audition. Up to eight groups can be selected to compete, and those groups will be announced on Monday, Feb. 2

The winner will be named VoiceJam champion and will receive a professionally produced video of their set. Judges will also award outstanding arrangement, vocal percussion, soloist and choreography. You can cheer on these harmonizing, beatboxing, mind-blowing groups and cast your vote for aca-fan favorite at the performance. This competition has become one of the most loved events of our season.

A cappella fans and performers alike will gather April 10 and 11 for the VoiceJam Festival, a weekend of aca-activities including a concert by professional a cappella group Voctave, the VoiceJam competition and workshops and masterclasses for skills such as a cappella arranging, vocal percussion, body percussion, rehearsal technique, solo singing and more. Workshop instructors and VoiceJam judges include Rob Deitz, Natalie Weiss, Jamey Ray and Drew Ochoa. Workshop registrations will be open soon.
