A temporary road closure has been scheduled for Rainbow Road between Wallis Road and Spring Water Way beginning Monday, September 8, and tentatively continuing through late October.
The closure is necessary to allow for the reconstruction of the east half of Rainbow Road, which includes the installation of new curb and gutter as well as storm drainage improvements.
During this period:
- Rainbow Road will be closed to through traffic between Wallis Road and Spring Water Way
- Detour routes will be in place using Mt. Hebron Road, Wallis Road, and Shores Ave.
- Local traffic will still have access up to the active work zone.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and allow extra travel time in the area. The City appreciates the public’s patience as we work to improve local infrastructure and roadway safety.
