The summer concert season officially kicks off at the Walmart AMP when Treaty Oak Revival takes the stage on Friday, April 11. There are several policy updates and new offerings for concertgoers this season.
Traffic Routes and Rideshare
New this year, rideshare services will use the Embassy Suites parking lot. Drivers will enter via the north entrance at the convention center. Drop-offs will happen in the southeast corner and pick-ups will happen in the south corner of the lot.
To avoid construction traffic on show days, Pinnacle Hills Parkway should be used to access the free parking in decks and surface lots in the area. Attendants and signs stationed along Pinnacle Hills Parkway will direct you to the closest available spaces when you arrive. South JB Hunt Drive should only be used for those with reserved parking in the Blue, White, Gold or Red lots.
Tickets and Wristbands
Due to the transition to Ticketmaster this season, tickets will either be in your Walmart AMP ticket wallet or in your Ticketmaster app based on where you purchased them. Be sure to sign on to our free WiFi and locate your tickets before you get to the gate to avoid delays.
To help reduce wait times throughout the night in beverage lines and at the pit entrances, 21+ ID and pit ticket wristbands will now only be available at designated check-in locations when you enter the venue. Before gates open, staff will be walking the lines checking IDs for alcohol and tickets for pit access and will wristband patrons accordingly. If you miss getting wristbands in the entry line, visit the designated tent just inside the gates. You will no longer get these wristbands at the bars within the venue or at the pit's entrance.
Inside the Venue
The AMP Underground presented by Unilever is back this season with a notable upgrade. A dedicated food truck with an exclusive menu will serve this space. Your $60 add-on ticket gets you access to this private space via a dedicated entrance 30 minutes before gates open and you can stay one hour after the show ends. It includes local musicians performing preshow and between acts, private restrooms, lounge seating, two beverages of your choice plus access to a full bar and 50% off all food purchases in Underground all night.
Fans will enjoy enhanced views of their favorite artists thanks to updated video walls featuring 144 Samsung XRB Series Outdoor LED screens. A signature feature since the venue opened in 2014, the video walls deliver brilliant picture quality regardless of whether you’re in the pit or relaxing on Choctaw Plaza. Engineered for the outdoors, the high-resolution displays provide crisp, clear images even in direct sunlight, so fans never miss a beat.
Blankets brought into the venue for lawn seating can be no larger than 4 feet by 5 feet. This is the size of the AMP-branded blankets that are sold on-site for $20.
