ROGERS, AR, JANUARY 3, 2024 — A national consulting group based out of Northwest Arkansas has announced the addition of a new consultant to their team; Former Secret Service Special Agent, William “Bill” Gage, from Richmond, VA. Bill brings his decades of professional experience in the security and executive protection world to the SafeHaven Security Group team of consultants.
Bill’s professional experience and knowledge has made him a soughtafter consultant and expert, and has landed him appearances on CNN, CSPAN, the Washington Post, and several national podcasts.

Bill served as a United States Secret Service Special Agent for 12 years, where he received numerous awards for protective and investigative excellence. Protecting the President, Vice President, and others, Bill was an integral member during thousands of missions in the US and around the world and served on two U.S. Congressional Subcommittees related to continuity of operations planning (COOP) for the President and Vice-President.
As Team Leader for the elite Counter Assault Team (CAT) and Lead Tactical Advance Agent for numerous National Special Security Events (NSSEs), Bill was responsible for focusing on active shooter response, threat suppression, and planning at the White House and other locations visited by the President, Vice-President, and their families. Bill served on two U.S. Congressional Sub-committees related to continuity of operations planning (COOP) for the President and Vice-President.
In addition to his time with the Secret Service, Bill has consulted with Fortune 50 companies to improve the protection of their people and assets and recently partnered with a large financial industry consortium to train thousands of financial institutions.
Bill holds a bachelor’s from the Virginia Military Institute and a master’s from Boston University.
To spend more time with his family, Bill returned to his roots and is now serving in local law enforcement as an ALERT Certified Active Shooter Instructor, teaching thousands of first responders on ALERT protocols. He also developed a de-escalation curriculum and has taught hundreds of first responders on ways to de-escalate volatile situations to have a safe outcome for all involved.
In 2023, Bill joined SafeHaven Security Group, LLC, to utilize his expertise in keeping people safe and protecting their brands.
