13th Street to Close Through Summer to Expedite Northwest Park Renovation
Rogers, Ark. – May 25th, 2023 – Beginning May 30th, 13th Street between Beech Drive and Sunset Drive will be closed. It is scheduled to reopen before the school year begins. The closure was permitted to expedite the Northwest Park Renovation project. A new connection from 13th Street to Will Rogers Drive, as well as utility and storm water connections, will be built. Easy Street to the north and Olive Street to the south are the main detours. Local traffic will be permitted up to the closure. Every property will have constant access.
Northwest Park is Rogers' oldest park, and it hosts thousands of games each year. Youth baseball and softball fields, concessions, pavilions, an indoor batting cage, a playground, and trails are all part of the new design. This renovation project will allow this cherished park to continue to serve the citizens of Rogers for years to come.
