BISSELL Pet Foundation “Empty the Shelters” Spring National Event

As our nation’s shelters are overburdened due to increased owner surrenders and longer stays for pets, BISSELL Pet Foundation is prompting a national call for adoption with its Spring National “Empty the Shelters” reduced-fee adoption event.

BISSELL Pet Foundation has teamed up with Dogtopia to bring its Spring National “Empty the Shelters” adoption event to more than 350 shelters in 45 states from May 1-15, 2023, including Humane Society for Animals, Inc.  As the nation’s largest funded adoption event, “Empty the Shelters” has helped nearly 140,000 pets find loving homes. During each nationwide event, BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees for $25 to make adoption affordable for prospective pet owners.

About Humane Society for Animals:

We have held over 90,000 animals since we originally opened in 1963. Our original facility at 1st St. and Nursery Rd. in Rogers, AR was built in 1970 and continuously houses a total of around 85 dogs and 20 cats. The NWA Humane Society for Animals provides for the welfare of dogs and cats in Benton County, AR through shelter and adoption services, spaying and neutering vouchers, and humane education.  They care for county pets which have been picked up by the sheriff’s department in Benton County or for those pets which are occasionally surrendered by residents of the county. The NWA Humane Society provides love and safe care until forever homes can be found for each pet.
