Youth Art Month is celebrated each March by K-12 schools across our country to encourage support quality school art programs. The national theme is Your Art Your Voice and we are excited to highlight the creative talent of our youngest community members. Art on the Bricks wants to thank our schools for enriching the lives of students and the community with art, dance, theater and music. Artists of all ages will also be exhibiting their work in galleries, shops and restaurants in Downtown Rogers during the 2nd Thursday Art on the Bricks Art Walk.
Making a return visit to the Art Walk are Art Teacher Joel Martin and his Greer Lingle Middle School 8th graders. Student are exhibiting their Spring 2023 portfolios and select works at Brick & Mortar, 120 W Walnut St., from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 9. The art includes works that represent techniques using collage, mixed media, watercolor and pastels. Several young artists will be greeting the public the first hour of the exhibit and then visit some of the other participating art galleries and pop-up art exhibits to interact with other artists.
