City of Rogers to Add Roundabout at Intersection of Pinnacle Hills Parkway and JB Hunt Drive

Published Thursday, March 2, 2023

The City of Rogers is working on a project to improve traffic flow along the Uptown perimeter. Two roundabouts are being installed. The first is a small roundabout at JB Hunt Dr. and 55th St., which is currently under construction. This is expected to be complete in about a month. The second is at the intersection of Pinnacle Hills Parkway and JB Hunt Drive. Construction for this intersection begins next week.

A short section of Pinnacle Hills Parkway will be changed from four lanes to two lanes so that this roundabout can be built. There will be one lane going in each direction, and traffic will keep moving. The lane closure starts at Champions Dr. and continues to the driveway between Ruth’s Chris and First National Bank. The lane closures will start on March 6 and are expected to last through the summer.

All businesses along this stretch will still be able to be reached. Most driveways along the closure path will remain accessible. First National Bank of NWA will be accessible from 55th St. by way of Northgate Road.

Progress on this project can be followed at https://www.rogersar.gov/1233/Uptown-Connectivity-Phase-2. This project page includes a timeline, current status, and action items.
