Published Monday, November 14, 2022

Chad and Wendy Kumpe have been named Grand Marshals for the Rogers Christmas Parade.

Chad and Wendy are both Arkansas natives and have lived in the Rogers area since 1995. They have been active in service to the community for many years.

Combined, the Kumpe’s have been Rotarians for over 70 years. Chad joined the Rotary in 1965 and served as president of the Rogers Rotary. In his time there, he received the Service Above Self Award and the Avenues of Service Award. He is a charter member of the Downtown Rogers Rotary and served on the board for several years. Wendy joined Rotary in 2000. She served as president of Rogers Rotary and Assistant Governor for Rotary District 6110. She is also a member of Altrusa International since1985 and served as president of clubs in Little Rock and in Rogers.

Living on Beaver Lake suits them. Chad enjoys boating while Wendy prefers reading on their balcony. The Kumpe’s both retired from careers in real estate.

This year’s parade is being coordinated by the Rotary Clubs of Rogers in partnership with the City of Rogers. It is sponsored by First National Bank of NWA. The event takes place December 2nd at 7pm in downtown Rogers.

The Rogers Christmas Parade route begins at 5th St. and Poplar St. and then leads through the heart of downtown, down 1st St. and Walnut St. Residents and visitors are welcome to enjoy the parade and vibrant holiday atmosphere of downtown Rogers at any point along the route. An attached map shows the complete route and staging area. More information about the Rogers Christmas Parade can be found at https://www.rogersar.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=256.
