New Entrepreneurial Platform for Minority-Owned Businesses to Connect with the Community Coming to Rogers

Published Tuesday, October 12, 2021

The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce will launch its inaugural NWA Minority Business EXPO Thursday, October 14 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Metroplex Event Center in Rogers.

Exhibit space is sold out.  The event requires no tickets and is free to the public. Media are invited to attend.

Why is it Important?
The Chamber's inaugural event creates an entrepreneurial platform for minority-owned businesses to connect with other businesses and local consumers by showcasing their products and services. It also highlights the importance of minority-owned businesses while celebrating entrepreneurs in the region during National Hispanic Heritage Month

Geovanny Sarmiento, SVP of Community Engagement & Inclusion at the Chamber, said, "whether you are a consumer discovering new places to shop, a local vendor prospecting for new business acquisition or a nonprofit organization exploring new partnerships, you will benefit from the new relationships you make at this new EXPO. It's a great way to meet minority business owners and show your support by shopping local with them - #ShopNWA ."

EXPO Highlights
The purpose of the EXPO is to help businesses (of all sizes and types) engage with each other and the community to make new connections, learn about the region’s entrepreneurial diversity and generate marketing/sales ideas and opportunities.

The event features local subject matter experts and thought leaders presenting professional development seminars on getting access to capital and marketing your business, a Hispanic Heritage Celebration Happy Hour and a fun competition for entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to win cash prizes - the IdeaFame Live Contest, hosted by Startup Junkie.

The Exhibit Hall will run concurrently with other activities throughout the day (from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) providing attendees and exhibitors plenty of time and opportunities to visit and network.
