October Downtown Rogers Art on the Bricks Art Walk Attracts Haunts and Humans

Published Tuesday, October 5, 2021

The October Art Walk Theme “Haunts & Harvest” offers entertainment for all age groups by creatives of various ages. Attendees will experience family friendly, indoor and outdoor pop-up art exhibits in more than 20 downtown Rogers locations on October 14 and are welcome to wear Halloween and cosplay costumes.

Aaron Jones, Director of Arts Integration and Museum Partnerships at Arkansas Arts Academy, collaborated with art walk organizers to showcase the talent of both students and faculty during the October Art Walk.

“Arkansas Arts Academy is excited to be a part of Art on the Bricks. This event provides our students the opportunity to display work within the community as well as introduce them to the business side of art exhibition,” he commented. “It isn’t exactly like working with a gallery, but students learn that submitting their art for exhibition means they have to work with specific parameters and deadlines. This is not a true gallery experience, but if they are going to be going into the professional art world, this experience helps them become prepared. Collaboration with the art walk and Downtown Rogers also gives our teachers the opportunity to show their artwork."
