Maryanne Stewart has always excelled at dreaming big, but executing those dreams did not come easily. "If you knew me before I started this journey, you would know I was the most timid and nervous person there ever was," she explained. You wouldn't know it today as she exudes energy and enthusiasm for helping clients and making beautiful furniture.

Growing up, Stewart loved everything about design, from architecture to home decor. She knew early on, one day she would end up doing something in the design field. She founded Modest Method to provide design services and beautiful spaces to people who couldn't afford extravagant upgrades. Then, COVID happened, and things shifted a bit. She decided to focus more on furniture and curated pieces than spaces, and continue to offer affordable products through her process and products.

The result was to identify "Perpetual Motion" as the theme for the June Art on the Bricks Art Walk. We are honored to share two performances by Oklahoma City's only modern and aerial dance company, Perpetual Motion Dance. This non-profit arts organization is collaborating with Arkansas Arts Academy the week of June 6 and there are four opportunities for the public to experience  their dance including two performances at Turntable Plaza in Railyard Park, near the corner of S 1st Street and W Elm Street. at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on June 9 during Art on the Bricks Art Walk.
