Crochet & Art Collide in March

March brings an exciting fusion of creativity as crochet and art collide during Art on the Bricks' celebration of National Crochet Month and Youth Art Month, 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14. This vibrant event showcases the intersection of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistic expression, highlighting the diverse talents of local artisans and makers, both young and old.

Art on the Bricks invites the community to immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of crochet artistry, where intricate stitches and vibrant colors come together to form stunning works of art. From delicate jewelry to whimsical amigurumi creatures, visitors will have the opportunity to marvel at the intricacy and ingenuity of crochet creations. Patrons will also experience the fancy footwork of Rince Academy of Irish Dance and see the art of 8th grade art students from Greer Lingle Middle School.

Join us for the November Art on the Bricks Art Walk as we bring Creative Innovation to Downtown Rogers. The monthly event takes place the 2nd Thursday of each month. We invite you to visit any of the participating locations from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 9 in locations throughout Downtown Rogers. This month, Art on the Bricks Art Walk is featuring Upcycled Art with Eloa Jane PereiraMelissa MiltonJBug ArtJim SawyerTom FlynnAaron Jones, Carrie Haase, and Amy Terry at Rogers Experimental House, 121 W Walnut Street, Rogers, AR. 

Keep America Beautiful celebrates America Recycles Day the week after the Art Walk, so we are getting a jump on it! November 15 is a holiday dedicated to spreading the word about the importance of recycling and making sure everyone knows what can and can not be recycled. 

  • America Recycles Day 2023 has chosen the theme, "Creative Innovation" to encourage people to think out of the box and find new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. 
  • In line with the Creative Innovation theme, we are taking trash to treasure with upcycled art during the November Art on the Brick Art Walk.
  • See how area artists are focusing on making the world a better place to live in for all the generations to come.

Ozark Beer Company to Transform Backyard into Community Gathering Space

Ozark Beer Company is collaborating with local artists to reimagine the downtown Rogers Brewery’s backyard as a family-friendly place for welcoming
the community and hosting public events. In addition to expanding seating space for patrons, the brewery aims to have the ability to host popular programming like festivals, artist fairs, and swap-meets without the threat of rainouts or the need to block off Arkansas St., and to make the integration of art a priority as development of the back yard takes shape.

Art on the Bricks Kicks Off Hispanic Heritage Month in Downtown Rogers

Downtown Rogers is kicking off National Hispanic Heritage Month with enthusiasm. As the population in northwest Arkansas becomes more diverse, Art on the Bricks strives to represent all members of our community, along with their cultures and their art.

  • National Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 – October 15 and it is significant in Rogers. Fifty-one percent of the population in Rogers is non-white or people of color, and the largest segment of this group is made up of people of Hispanic descent.
  • The September Art on the Bricks Art Walk provides an opportunity to connect with and learn about the culture, the art, the music and traditions of our Latino neighbors and friends.

Join this collaboration of black creators and thought leaders as we come together as a community and experience the good things in life. Enjoy food and art, accompanied by written and spoken word, collectively inspired by our regions’ black culture and community.

So It's Black History Month...What Are You Going to Do Beyond Today?” challenges participants to consider their relationship with the rich and diverse black community in Northwest Arkansas. The Black History Month celebration is a free, family friendly event at the Rogers Experimental House, (RXH) 121 W Walnut Street, Rogers, AR.

Downtown Rogers has earned the reputation of supporting the creative community and is home to dozens of businesses that offer locally made products and interactive experiences as part of the creative economy. The 2nd Thursday of every month, artists, craftsmen, and musicians, partner with downtown merchants to provide an opportunity to explore businesses and meet the artists in pop-up galleries. Participating locations and artists change from month to month, and art experiences consistently provide new and interesting opportunities for the public to connect with their third space and support the creative economy.

Veterans Celebrated During Art on the Bricks in Downtown Rogers

ROGERS, AR—The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VA) is partnering with Downtown Rogers Art on the Bricks Art Walk in November to feature the art of U.S. Military Veterans as the nation prepares to celebrate Veterans Day. The Rogers Experimental House, located at 121 W Walnut Street, will showcase the creative works of veterans and other artists during the 2nd Thursday art walk from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, November 10. Live music, artist demonstrations, and art and crafts exhibits will commemorate the service and talent of military veterans. A reception, sponsored by Kirk Pearson, US Air Force Veteran and owner of, LaborMax Staffing is also planned. Related items of interest include: Civil War art and artifacts and a display of military uniforms from past decades. Downtown Rogers businesses will also host pop-up galleries with art by Rogers Public School Students and a variety of artists.
