2022 General Election Report | The Votes Are In

The state as a whole had an increase of ballots cast by over 15,000, and Benton County had an increase of over 13,000 ballots cast at the polls. Elizabeth McCurdy and Barry Cobbs, co-directors and founders of Rogers Short Film Festival, are setting the stage for another opportunity to present short, independent films from across the U.S. and beyond. But their energy and enthusiasm is bubbling over so they decided to convene filmmakers and supporters at a mixer from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 17th at Ozark Beer Company, 109 N Arkansas Street, Rogers, AR.
Grand Marshals Announced for Rogers Christmas Parade
Make plans to continue--or begin--a family tradition with the Rogers Christmas Parade Friday, December 2 in Downtown Rogers. The festivities kick off with a holiday dance production by Ballet Westside Dance Studio at 6:00 p.m. at S. 1st Street and West Elm in the Turntable Plaza of Railyard Plaza. Then the parade procession begins at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy free cocoa provided by The Optimist Club of Rogers at West of 600 W Walnut Street.
With more than 70 entries, the Rogers Christmas Parade will line up from Rogers Heritage High School, then North along 5th Street with some entries assigned to line up at Tillery Elementary School. The Parade officially begins at 5th and Poplar, then heads East to 1st Street, North to Walnut and West to 7th Street. This year’s parade is being coordinated by the Rotary Clubs of Rogers and is sponsored by First National Bank of NWA. It all starts December 2nd at 7pm in downtown Rogers. Chad and Wendy Kumpe have been named Grand Marshals for the Rogers Christmas Parade. These Arkansas natives and have lived in the Rogers area since 1995 and have been active in service to the community for many years.

Maryanne Stewart has always excelled at dreaming big, but executing those dreams did not come easily. "If you knew me before I started this journey, you would know I was the most timid and nervous person there ever was," she explained. You wouldn't know it today as she exudes energy and enthusiasm for helping clients and making beautiful furniture.
Growing up, Stewart loved everything about design, from architecture to home decor. She knew early on, one day she would end up doing something in the design field. She founded Modest Method to provide design services and beautiful spaces to people who couldn't afford extravagant upgrades. Then, COVID happened, and things shifted a bit. She decided to focus more on furniture and curated pieces than spaces, and continue to offer affordable products through her process and products.

Veterans Celebrated During Art on the Bricks in Downtown Rogers
ROGERS, AR—The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VA) is partnering with Downtown Rogers Art on the Bricks Art Walk in November to feature the art of U.S. Military Veterans as the nation prepares to celebrate Veterans Day. The Rogers Experimental House, located at 121 W Walnut Street, will showcase the creative works of veterans and other artists during the 2nd Thursday art walk from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, November 10. Live music, artist demonstrations, and art and crafts exhibits will commemorate the service and talent of military veterans. A reception, sponsored by Kirk Pearson, US Air Force Veteran and owner of, LaborMax Staffing is also planned. Related items of interest include: Civil War art and artifacts and a display of military uniforms from past decades. Downtown Rogers businesses will also host pop-up galleries with art by Rogers Public School Students and a variety of artists.

October 22, 2022 is National Make a Dog's Day and we are celebrating in Downtown Rogers! The Downtown Rogers community is known for their love dogs EVERY DAY, and this is an extra special day to spread information about dogs’ importance in our lives and how much they can improve our days with their love and loyalty. This is also a day to encourage people to adopt from shelters and provide a better life for at least one dog. Humans mean the world to a dog, and it is time we ensure they get everything they deserve.

Downtown Rogers Craft Beer Festival Celebrates Oktoberfest
Polka music and lederhosen will take over Butterfield Stage from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 101 E Cherry Street in Downtown Rogers. The 7th Annual Rogers Oktoberfest is hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers and the Optimist Club of Rogers. The craft beer festival features an Oktoberfest theme, from blue-and-white decorations to stein-hoist competitions.
