Convening in DTR: Every 3^rd Thursday the Rogers Lowell Chamber invites the Downtown Rogers business community to network and gain inspiration from other locally-owned business owners. House 1830 provided the venue for the April 18 gathering where attendees learned about this popular new restaurant and bar that quickly became a destination location for foodies in Downtown Rogers.

A family affair: Attendees met Binh and Susannah Hoang, and Quang and Vatsana Hoang and learned about the two couples’ entrepreneurial paths that led to restaurant ownership in Downtown Rogers. The House 1830 team welcomed fellow business owners with their house made waffles and coffee provided by Iron Horse Coffee Company.

Ozark Beer Company is collaborating with local artists to reimagine the downtown Rogers Brewery’s backyard as a family-friendly place for welcoming
the community and hosting public events. In addition to expanding seating space for patrons, the brewery aims to have the ability to host popular programming like festivals, artist fairs, and swap-meets without the threat of rainouts or the need to block off Arkansas St., and to make the integration of art a priority as development of the back yard takes shape.

Specialized Real Estate Group broke ground on Downtown Rogers' first ground-up, large-scale, multifamily development during a ceremony Thursday, February Feb. 23. Designed by Modus Studio, the $28 million development will include four three-story buildings with 121 apartments including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units.

This "speed friending" event works like speed dating, but with the objective of making new friends. As we age, it may feel more and more difficult to create real, genuine friendships. And having friends is important to us both physically and mentally. According to William Chopik, a professor of psychology at Michigan State University, “friendships become even more important as we age. Keeping a few really good friends around can make a world of difference for our health and well-being.”
