How LISA Academy Rogers-Bentonville MHS Builds Belonging, Leadership, and Confidence Through Its House System

Posted by: Sponsored Blog Post | LISA Academy Public Charter Schools on Tuesday, January 20, 2026

Choosing the right school for your child is about more than test scores. It’s about finding a place where your child feels connected, supported, and encouraged to grow. At LISA Academy Rogers-Bentonville, we believe a strong school culture plays a vital role in student success. That’s why we’ve implemented a House System designed to build community, promote positive behavior, and support both academic and social growth.

As a STEM-focused, college-preparatory public charter school serving Northwest Arkansas, LISA Academy is committed to developing not only strong learners but confident leaders.

What Is the House System?

All students at LISA Academy Rogers-Bentonville are randomly assigned to one of four houses:

Gryffindor
Hufflepuff
Ravenclaw
Slytherin

Students are intentionally mixed across grade levels and backgrounds, creating a sense of belonging and teamwork throughout the school. Younger students benefit from guidance and encouragement, while older students naturally step into leadership roles—helping everyone feel supported and valued.

This structure mirrors real-world environments, preparing students for collaboration in college, careers, and beyond.

At LISA Academy, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Our programs challenge students to think critically, collaborate across disciplines, and prepare for successful futures.

Encouraging Positive Behavior and Attendance—Every Day

Parents want schools that reinforce good habits, responsibility, and character. The House System helps do just that by recognizing students for positive choices.

Students earn House points by:

● Attending school 90% or more during a quarter
Demonstrating the monthly character trait
Meeting monthly academic goals
Showing positive individual behavior

Students who demonstrate the monthly character trait are recognized during end-of-month assemblies and entered into a quarterly character prize drawing.

By focusing on what students are doing right, the House System builds confidence, motivation, and accountability.

Monthly Assemblies That Build Confidence and School Spirit

At the end of each month, students participate in House Assemblies filled with games, races, and team challenges. These fun events allow students to earn additional House points while strengthening connections with peers.

Through these assemblies, students:

Build confidence in a supportive environment
Develop teamwork and communication skills
Practice healthy competition and sportsmanship
Feel proud of their school community

For families, it’s reassuring to know their child attends a school that celebrates effort, joy, and belonging—not just grades.

Rewarding Effort With Meaningful Experiences

At the end of each quarter, the House with the most points earns a special field trip. This motivates students to remain academically and behaviorally engaged while working toward shared goals.

Recent winning House experiences include:

Quarter 1: Farmland Adventures in Springdale, AR
Quarter 2: A field trip to Malco Theater to see Zootopia 2

These rewards reflect real-world lessons about teamwork, effort, and celebration.

Why Parents Choose LISA Academy Rogers-Bentonville

The House System is just one way LISA Academy creates a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment where students feel known and valued. Combined with rigorous STEM instruction and a strong focus on character development, our approach prepares students not just for the next grade—but for life.
