Honeycomb Kitchen Shop, the beloved locally owned retail store and e-commerce site founded by longtime friends Melissa Turpin and Dana Smith, has long been a hub for home cooks seeking high-quality kitchen tools, cookware, and culinary inspiration. Known for their collaboration with local culinary talent and their carefully curated selection of regional products, Honeycomb has built a loyal following both in-store and online.
This spring, Honeycomb Kitchen Shop is excited to announce a new chapter in their growth with the addition of their very first marketing intern, Addie Isbell.

Addie, a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Arkansas, will receive her bachelor’s degree this May and plans to continue her education in the fall by pursuing a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing. With her educational background in advertising and public relations from the School of Journalism, hands-on experience managing social media for her sorority, and retail experience at Marty’s Gifts and Diamond in her hometown, Addie brings a unique blend of knowledge, creativity, and real-world expertise to the Honeycomb team.
“Social media is very important to us because over the years we’ve been able to grow an amazing online community of followers and, frankly, our biggest supporters!” said Jessy Duque, Honeycomb’s Marketing Manager. “We knew having someone who could be dedicated to social media and building those relationships would be the next step for our marketing team of one (now two!).”

Addie’s role will focus on enhancing Honeycomb’s online presence by creating engaging content, managing the content calendar, promoting new products, highlighting cooking classes and chef instructors, featuring behind-the-scenes looks at Honeycomb’s operations, and celebrating the hardworking team members behind the scenes. She will primarily work on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and soon Pinterest, keeping the community informed and inspired.
With her skills in content creation, photo and video editing, social media strategy, and community engagement, Addie will be able to dedicate time and attention to areas that will help Honeycomb grow even stronger in the digital space. By taking on the social media conversation and relationship management, Addie will allow the business to connect more meaningfully with its online audience while supporting the overall goals of the brand.

Bringing an intern on board was not a difficult decision for the Honeycomb team. It was something they had been excited about for some time. As the shop continues to thrive, the addition of a dedicated social media intern is a natural extension of their mission to inspire home cooking and support the local culinary community.
Addie Isbell’s enthusiasm, fresh perspective, and strong foundation in marketing make her an excellent fit for this new and important role. Honeycomb Kitchen Shop is thrilled to have her join the team and looks forward to seeing the creativity and energy she brings to their growing online community.
