Now, as Master Franchisors of the brand, Daniel and Ariel have brought Gelatissimo's delicious, fresh gelato to new regions, continuing the company’s story from 8,810 miles away from where it all began in Sydney. Their dedication to frozen desserts and entrepreneurship has helped them realize a dream, making Gelatissimo's sweet delights accessible to even more people around the world.

Having lived in Dallas, Seattle, and now Northwest Arkansas for 27 years, the Husbands combined their wealth of experience—Daniel works in retail and logistics at Sam's Club and Ariel has a background in retail, hospitality, and interior design. Though they had always wanted to start a business, it wasn't until a trip to Atlanta in 2019 that the idea of owning a dessert franchise took shape. After discovering Gelatissimo online in 2022, they traveled to Houston to try it firsthand and were immediately impressed by the quality, flavor, and natural ingredients of the gelato.

After multiple visits to Houston and extensive research, they knew Gelatissimo was the perfect fit for Northwest Arkansas, a growing region they loved. Ariel’s culinary study abroad in Italy reaffirmed their belief in Gelatissimo's quality. Following 18 months of planning and conversations, they signed their franchise agreement in August 2023.

Their daughter Hayley, an experienced café manager, was chosen to run the first store, ensuring the family’s shared vision of excellent customer service would guide the business. Set to open in November 2024, their first location in Historic Downtown Rogers will bring an exciting new chapter to their community, with plans for further expansion in NWA and Southern Missouri.

Their story showcases the importance of family, community, and passion in business, as they aim to create a welcoming space where people can enjoy the finest gelato together.

The public is invited to the soft opening at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 8 at the new Gelatissimo located at 226 S 1st Street, Rogers. AR. The grand opening event is set for 12;00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, where 1000 scoops of free Gelatissimo gelato will be given away.  They have also selected a non-profit partner to benefit from their grand opening celebration as they celebrate the services provided by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Northwest Arkansas.
