Big Heart Bread, founded by Laurie Anderson in 2020, has quickly become a beloved staple in the Rogers community even before she unlocked the doors on her new bakery. Known for its delicious artisanal sourdough bread and mission to create positive change, the bakery has captured the hearts of locals. Laurie’s passion for connecting people through bread has driven Big Heart Bread to not only serve up mouth-watering loaves but also give back, with a portion of profits supporting local organizations, particularly those that focus on children.

Starting with selling bread to friends and neighbors, Laurie expanded her brand through wholesale distribution with Nola’s Pantry, teaching classes at Honeycomb Kitchen Shop, and participating in pop-up events at the Rogers Local Food & Art Market. Now, as Big Heart Bread continues to grow, Laurie is taking the next step: opening her first brick-and-mortar location at 103 W Chestnut, right next to Nola’s Pantry.

But Laurie’s vision goes beyond just great bread. She offers hands-on sourdough workshops, inviting home bakers to master the craft in a warm, communal setting. This new space will soon provide online ordering and delivery options for Rogers Public Schools faculty and staff, combining Laurie’s love for baking with her dedication to serving the community. By partnering with the Rogers Public Education Foundation, she ensures her bakery’s success also benefits local schools.
