Mike McLeod and Rick McLeod share Hoka Hey Info with Rotarians

Riding for a cause: Brothers and Roger’s business owners, Rick McLeod, owner of McLeod Insurance Agency, and Mike McLeod, owner of Mike's Auto Works, are riding their motorcycles in the 2024 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. They are sponsored by Pig Trail Harley Davidson and raising money for the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank. CLICK HERE to donate.

Road Worthy: The challenge takes place every other year and covers more than 10,000 miles to be completed in 12 days. Here is their progress:

  • Departed Rogers on July 31, and headed south for the official kickoff in Daytona, Florida on August 4.

  • Traveled from Daytona, to Key West, Florida (and through a tropical storm/hurricane) on their way to Homer, Alaska!

  • Cruised into Rogers at 1:07 a.m. today for the first check point at Pig Trail Harley Davidson.

  • They took advantage of bike tune-ups, a bite to eat, a little shut eye—out-of-doors with their bikes—showers and a change of dry clothes before taking off again.

The Mission: Hoka Hey’s mission is to raise awareness and financial support for social issues that plague our country and our families while sending Challengers through some of the most beautiful places in North America.

Riding Blind: Well, not exactly, but the participants can’t use GPS navigation or maps. They are provided with turn-by-turn directions the entire route.

Follow their journey: You may watch the adventure unfold using the “Track Your Rider” feature and the riders’ numbers. Rick, participating for the 4th time, is #875. Mike, participating for the 3rd year is #972.
