Caring for canines: Rogers residents Ed and Kathy McClure are championing the cause of the Humane Society of Northwest Arkansas, a no-kill shelter currently at full capacity. To raise awareness and support, they are purchasing pup-cups from baked by kori and inviting the community to join in this effort.

The McClures are purchasing 68 pup-cups—one for each dog at the shelter,—from Downtown Rogers merchant, baked by kori. The community is invited to join them in supporting the shelter. Stop by either location: buy pup-cups for your pups, take photos, share on social media, and help give the shelter doggies some love and treats. Use #GoDowntownRogers.

  • Pup-Cup Pick Up: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, baked by kori, 128 S 2nd Street, Rogers

  • Pup-Cup Distribution: 2:20 p.m. Thursday, July 18, Humane Society of Northwest Arkansas, 405 E Nursery Road, Rogers

Join the community: The McClures invite you to participate in the distribution of the delicious peanut butter/carrot/wheat flour pup-cups. Come enjoy some puppy licks and give these dogs a treat as they seek forever homes. Kathy McClure shares, "We want to bring awareness to the Humane Society of Northwest Arkansas and baked by kori, one of our wonderful downtown Rogers businesses willing to go the extra mile."

How you can help: You can join the McClures in supporting small businesses and nonprofits--like baked by kori and Humane Society of Northwest Arkansas--when you support local.

  • Invite your friends to connect with and support these and other local organizations
  • Like, follow and share their social media posts
  • Attend events and invest financially in their success
  • Shop local when purchasing gifts and gift cards
  • Make donations and support your favorite non-profits

Partnerships like this can help inspire communities and set an example for friends and neighbors to follow.

Dog Friendly Community: Highlighting the vibrant, dog-friendly atmosphere of Downtown Rogers is a major attraction for visitors and residents in our area. Emphasizing the integration of pets into our community showcases the charm and appeal of the downtown sector and aligns with the Chamber’s mission to promote the many elements related to the quality of life we enjoy. This focus on creating a welcoming, inclusive environment--including supporting the many locally owned businesses that provide dog-friendly goods and services--supports the broader goals of fostering a lively, engaging community that celebrates shopping and dining, and family-friendly experiences, in Downtown Rogers.
