Contributions by Downtown Rogers' own Bill Watkins and Lacie Bray Earn Recognition

The Rogers Lowell Chamber Annual Celebration will honor Downtown Rogers' very own Bill Watkins and Lacie Bray with prestigious awards.

Bill Watkins, principal attorney at Watkins, Boyer, Gray & Curry, will receive The Dick Trammel Good Neighbor Award. This award is the Rogers community’s highest honor. It is presented each year in recognition of an individual who has contributed to the betterment of Rogers and the region.

  • Watkins was nominated and selected for his extensive involvement in commercial and residential development projects.
  • He has served in leadership roles in various community organizations, and pivotal role in city council meetings across Benton County for over four decades.
  • Watkins' dedication to preserving the historic character of Downtown Rogers is notable through his chairmanship of Main Street Rogers and the formation of the Rogers Commercial Historic Commission.

Lacie Bray, the co-owner and co-founder of Ozark Beer Co., will receive the Rogers Lowell Spirit Award. This award recognizes the remarkable contributions of organizations, businesses, or groups to the betterment of the community.

  • Founded in 2013 by Lacie Bray and Andy Coates, Ozark Beer Co. holds the distinction of being Benton County's first brewery.
  • Despite its growth, the brewery remains dedicated to its community-centric approach to brewing, hospitality, and programming.
  • In 2023, Ozark Beer Company welcomed over 220 small businesses into their space at no cost, initiated the "Drink Beer. Do Good" series donating proceeds to different non-profits monthly, and collaborated with institutions such as the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and the University of Arkansas on stormwater drainage awareness.
  • Ozark Beer Co. has also raised funds for organizations including the ALS Foundation, The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust, and Apple Seeds, and supported community events such as reproductive fairs, volunteer fairs, and book fairs.
  • Hosting an average of 15 events per month, including weekly gatherings and large festivals, Ozark played a significant role in attracting crowds to downtown Rogers, with six events in 2023 each bringing over 500 people.
