Rogers Christmas Parade Lights Up Downtown Rogers

Downtown Rogers preparing to light up the night as the community prepares for the annual Christmas Parade. The City of Rogers, along with partners The Rotary Club of Rogers, The Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers, and First National Bank NWA are excited for the annual holiday tradition. Applications for parade entries are being accepted through November 17. The parade will take place Friday, December 1st at 6:30pm in downtown Rogers.

It's a time when our town truly shines, and we come together to celebrate the joy and togetherness that defines this special season. I couldn't be more excited to see our streets filled with the festivities again this year. I encourage everyone to join us in downtown Rogers for this cherished event. Let's make this year's parade the most memorable yet!”

The Rotary Club of Rogers and the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers will coordinate the event that showcases the community's holiday spirit. This will include managing float entries, parade lineup, and selecting judges.

Categories for parade entries include:

  • Floats (large vehicles, trucks and trailers) and Non-Floats (including marching or walking groups, cars and bands)

Trophies will be awarded for the best entry in each of these categories:  

  • “Spectacular Sparkles Award” goes to the entry that presents an outstanding display of lights and/or other type of illumination.
  • “Elfin Magic Award” award goes to the entry that best features children.
  • “Glory of Angels Award” award goes to the entry that best illustrates a religious theme.
  • And the “Knock Your Stockings Off Award” goes to the overall outstanding entry illustrating the parade theme.

The parade entry fee is $35 up to 100 feet, while all school bands are free.

New This Year! A Christmas Village and vendor market is an exciting new addition to this year's Parade. Patrons will have the opportunity to:

  • Shop local vendor booths and food trucks from 5:00 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Take photos with Santa from 5 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Shoot family photos at the Sherrets Photography selfie station
  • The Nutcracker Ballet dance performances by Ballet Westside 5:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.  
  • Go Green! Snap selfies with the Grinch from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 

 

Interested parties are invited to submit parade entry applications now.  The deadline for applications is November 17.  A paper application can be picked up and submitted at Rogers City Hall 301 W. Chestnut St.

The Rogers Christmas Parade route begins at 5th St. and Poplar St. and then leads through the heart of downtown, down 1st St. and Walnut St.  Residents and visitors are welcome to enjoy the parade and vibrant holiday atmosphere of downtown Rogers at any point along the route.  An attached map shows the complete route and staging area.
