Rogers Animal Services is one of more than 345 organizations participating in BISSELL Pet Foundation's Fall Empty the Shelters campaign. The event is designed to raise awareness of the over population of animals and place deserving pets in loving homes. Our nation’s animal shelters are in crisis due to increased owner surrenders and stray intakes resulting in spiking post-pandemic euthanasia rates across the country. Animal intakes at both public and private shelters are expected to reach a 3-year high this year, and adoptions or returns to owners are not keeping pace, according to the Shelter Animals Count database. With lives on the line, BISSELL Pet Foundation is once again prompting a national call for adoption with its Fall National “Empty the Shelters” reduced-fee adoption event. 

 To support the nation’s animal shelters and help pets find loving homes, BISSELL Pet Foundation is hosting its Fall National "Empty the Shelters" reduced-fee adoption event from Oct. 1 – 15, including Rogers Animal Services. As the nation’s largest funded adoption event, “Empty the Shelters” has helped nearly 190,000 pets find loving homes. During each nationwide event, BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees for $50 or less to make adoption affordable for prospective pet owners.

Pet adoptions are at an all time low at Rogers Animal Services. This fact, coupled with a steady intake rate, has kept the shelter at capacity in 2023. Opening your home to a shelter pet saves a life and creates space to give another pet a chance.
