HEAR THE RUMBLE: Forty attendees gathered for a special session of the Downtown Rogers Merchant MeetUp to hear final details related to Rally Week. DTR merchants received event maps and “Welcome Biker” posters and tips to help prepare for Bikes Blues & BBQ which is set for September 20 – 23. Karen Wagaman, vice president for Rogers Lowell Chamber, welcomed the crowd and thanked TxAR House for hosting the group and Java Dudes Coffee Company for providing coffee.
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING: J.R. Shaw, executive director for Destination Rogers, shared the economic and entertainment value that Rally Week brings to our region. He introduced Tommy Sizemore, executive director of Bikes, Blues & BBQ and Kinya Christian, arts & culture coordinator City of Rogers Office of Community Development.
Sizemore shared information about the small number of street closures and indicated the printed maps and “Welcome Biker” posters will be available for merchants the week of September 11. He also shared information about the motorcycle-only-parking, availability of ice, beer, horse troughs, DTR Entertainment District wristbands and cups, should businesses need them.
WHATS NEW: The Bikes, Blues, and BBQ Motorcycle Rally is coming to Rogers September 20th–23rd. New features this year includes additional food trucks and vendors in the Frisco Plaza, the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers Frisco Inferno will take place near the Frisco Caboose on S 1st Street, and Downtown Rogers has add designated motorcycle-only parking, designated motorcycle only traffic to the limited street closures.

- STREET CLOSURES IN RED: Poplar St. and Cherry St. between 1st St. and Arkansas St., and 1st St. south of Cherry St. (Frisco Caboose)
- MOTORCYCLE ONLY PARKING IN ORANGE: The loop of Walnut St. to 1st St. to Cherry St. to 2nd St. will be designated motorcycle-only parking on Saturday, 9/23, after 12 p.m. The same section will be designated motorcycle-only parking on Saturday, 9/23, after 12 p.m.
- MOTORCYCLE ONLY TRAFFIC IN GREEN: The loop of Walnut St. to 1st St. to Cherry St. to 2nd St. will be designated motorcycle-only traffic after 5 p.m. on Thursday 9/21 and Friday 9/22. and Saturday after 12 p.m.
- The festival ends daily by 11 p.m.
