Art on the Bricks, a program of the Rogers Lowell Chamber, is assisting business owners, aspiring digital artists and families to discover how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is shaping the future. The community is invited to attend an informative overview of Artificial Intelligence and embark on a journey that redefines art and technology.

If you want to get in on the text-to-image action but aren't sure where to start, this free session will help you out. Artist Dave Floyd is returning to Rogers Experimental House with free 45 minute demos once a month. Then, those who want to learn more may register for 2 hour art classes held most Wednesday evenings. This free AI intro session is designed to engage new users and share opportunities for additional paid classes. The initial offering of the AI Introduction is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. Wednesday August 30, at Rogers Experimental House, 121 W Walnut Street, Rogers, AR.

Floyd will share step-by-step tutorials and immersive demonstrations, unveiling the latest AI art techniques using free web based software to create from a computer, laptop, tablet or phone. His goal is to equip participants with the tools to amplify their artistic prowess. The 45-minute introductory session will set the stage for the ultimate destination for the exciting convergence of art and artificial intelligence. This learning opportunity serves as a dynamic intro where creativity meets cutting-edge technology, catering to artists, businesses, families, and curious individuals alike.

Floyd’s mission is to revolutionize art through AI. “We're here to inform, inspire, and transform the way you perceive and interact with art,” he explained. “I want to help people reshape creativity’s boundaries, foster deeper connections and enable lifelong learning.

The impressive response from the news media in July and again in August confirmed our suspicions that Artificial Intelligence continues to be relevant in Northwest Arkansas. This collaboration between artist Dave Floyd, Art on the Bricks and Rogers Experimental House allows businesses and artists to dip their toe in the water to see how they can leverage an understanding of AI to become more productive. About the presenters

Art on the Bricks, a program of the Rogers Lowell Chamber, received a 3rd Space Grant to expand the arts and culture programs that correspond with the Downtown Rogers Art on the Bricks brand and the Art on the Bricks Art Walk. This collaboration with Dave Floyd and Rogers Experimental house is designed to develop several individual AI art classes to be offered in the coming weeks. The courses are suitable for families with children over the age of eight, curious individuals, artists and business owners who want to utilize AI to explore productivity and creativity. Participants may choose from one or several basic, intermediate, and advanced classes.

Digital artist and instructor, Dave Floyd, first became interested in creating AI generative art as it relates to his love of music. He began by creating images that are similar in style to art found on album covers, posters and other forms of visual marketing used in the music industry. A retired telecom professional with an education degree, he taught digital art for five years before venturing into the AI platform. Since that time, his research has led him to develop content to share his knowledge and experience with others.

Rogers Experimental House, (RXH) a 501c3 organization, is administered by a volunteer board of directors to provide a creative community center in the heart of Downtown Rogers. Through the generosity of Bentonville Housing LLC and RopeSwing Hospitality Group, we are able to provide a venue and resources for activities designed to incubate and display artistic contributions to complement to the creative economy in Downtown Rogers. RXH provides studio and gallery space for local artists and is a sponsor of "Downtown Rogers Art on the Bricks Art Walk" (AOTB), a program of Rogers Lowell Chamber. The growing creative economy provides a wide range of future opportunities for people to apply their interests and acquire skills that transfer to future careers. Cultivating art, music and other forms of entertainment adds significantly to quality of life while also stimulating the economy and enhancing quality of life in our community.
