The Rogers Lowell Chamber offers the Downtown Rogers Merchant MeetUp to invite businesses to share success stories and ideas to further economic development in the core of our city. Downtown Rogers business owners, managers and employees, and other interested individuals, are invited to join us 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at The Key Wing of Rogers Historical Museum, 322 S 2nd Street, Rogers, AR.  In addition to connecting over coffee provided by Iron Horse Coffee Company, and sharing their latest news, participants will be among the first to learn about Carte, a new workforce development app that will revolutionize hiring by matching the right people to the right jobs with one simple swipe.

Carte is an interactive matching application where employers find qualified hourly talent in seconds. Employers post jobs, job seekers create profiles, and they match, with just a swipe. Carte only shows employers profiles that match their needs, saving time, and sanity. For job seekers, there are no more applications to fill out or resumes to upload. This is a tool for hourly recruiting like you’ve never seen before.

Carte is being launched in Northwest Arkansas later this fall. Andrea Roten, Founder and CEO of Carte, is a senior talent acquisition strategist with 20 years of experience working across a variety of organizations including Walmart, Deloitte and Tyson Foods. Devoted to her community of Northwest Arkansas, Andrea first realized the opportunity for Carte in 2020 as local schools were closing due to COVID. Concerned about families who rely on school meals, she built a Facebook group, NWA Free Food for Kids, to connect almost 10,000 food insecure families to available food options. Members of the group frequently mentioned their challenges in accessing and applying for hourly jobs.

Later, when local businesses like restaurants and retail stores began closing their doors due to lack of employees, she saw the opportunity to connect hourly job seekers to local available jobs. She hopes that Carte will be a game-changer for local businesses and hourly job-seekers, alike.
