Railyard LIve presents the Local Showcase

We are excited about the upcoming Railyard Live Local Showcase set for Thursday, July 13, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. This first band perfectly complements the Art on the Bricks Art Walk theme, Digitally Yours!

Modeling is a three-piece experimental electronic group creating introspective music inspired by film scores, visual arts, and personal experiences. Comprised of the Brogan brothers--Connor, Ryan, and Cuinn--the band places most of their sonic emphasis on intense analog synth sounds and detail-oriented electronic textures. Many of their songs center around themes of longing, alienation, and feelings of nostalgia with lyrical references to dreams and memories of a time before.

The Handshake Saints write, record and perform their blend of original music in the region of Northwest Arkansas. They can be described as hard-working Americana rock-n-roll band with a unique sound that straddles roots rock, R&B, punk, and soul. Their upbeat rhythms, infectious melodies, and engaging lyrics feel rich in rock-n-roll history, born from the same blue-collar street corners that made Bruce Springsteen “Born to Run” and caused Aretha Franklin to preach about “Respect.”

Formed in 2019, the Handshake Saints are a tight-knit band of brothers that include Aaron Mullins (piano), Roger Norman (drums), Phil Cristofaro (bass) and Josh Masten (guitar).  On any given night, the Saints deliver a passionate, soulful, and ferociously rocking live performance that leaves audiences clamoring for more.

The Misdemeanors is a young, all-women, indie rock band from Fayetteville. Lead singer, Jessi Morrison, guitarist Milcah Hulen-Posnak, keyboardist Breanna McArdle, and bassist Erin Funkhouser, have been together since September of 2021. The Misdemeanors’ sound is an arrangement of indie, pop, rock and roll, and sometimes a little punk. All of the members had attempted to join and start bands many times, but no one in high school was serious enough. Jessi approached longtime friends Erin and Milcah in the fall of 2021. Soon after they recruited Breanna. In mere weeks they began performing live all around Fayetteville. Multiple other musicians have joined the group over time, including the current drummer Addison McArdle. Now, The Misdemeanors are much more than just a college band. The Misdemeanors is a female-fronted community of hundreds of supporters and creatives.

Drew Hutson Rogers was raised in the Ozarks in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Rogers always sought to be surrounded by music, and became obsessed with playing guitar around the age of 11. He first started performing at school functions and talent shows shortly thereafter, and has since played all across the United States and Europe. After pursuing academic guitar studies from 2013-2019 and earning a master’s degree in guitar performance, Rogers has spent the last few years writing, recording, and defining his own sound. He is steadfast in his pursuit of leaving a lasting mark as a rock guitarist and singer-songwriter. The 28-year-old’s debut single "Bad Motivator" released on March 3rd of this year, followed by the release of his 5-song EP 'In-Between Radio' on April 7th. He is currently at work on a full-length album, which comes out October 2023.

Let's welcome Drew Hutson Rogers home in style.
