May is National Pet Month and we are celebrating our Dog Friendly Downtown Rogers All Month Long!
 
 

In addition to pet related art and vendors exhibits during the May 11 Art on the Bricks Art Walk, you will find dog friendly events and activities in numerous businesses: 
 
May 2 - May 13
  • Rogers Animal Services in partnership with Bissell Pet Foundation offers Empty the Shelters with Zero Fee Adoptions, May 2nd through May 13th! Call (479) 621-1197, for more information.

  • First United Methodist Church Blessing of the Animals at the corner of S 4th Street and Elm Street. Please bring a donation for the Little Free Pet Pantry. 

Barks on the Bricks--The UltiMUTT Art Walk

Join us 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 11, for our Dog Friendliest Art on the Bricks Art Walk. Barks on the Bricks is always a crowd pleaser as we showcase the talent of artists and crafters of all mediums, and invite pet related vendors and non profits to share their pet related goods and services.

 

 
Thursday, May 11: 
  • Nola's Pantry is hosting a Bow Wow Bandana Pup Paw Painting Session and serving Bow Wow Blueberry Lemonade Mock/Cocktails as well as treats for your pups and a raffle.  
  • Deborah Billingsley Photography teaches you to take the best possible photos of your pets should they become lost. 
  • Denise Holmes of Love. Trust. Teach. is offering a Canine Enrichment and Puzzle Exchange at 300 S 1st Street in partnership with TxAR House and Woof & Wander.
  • Rogers Experimental House is featuring an 8' x 16' interactive Pet Celebration Wall at Railyard Park. Bring photos or fill the wall with post-it note style tributes to the special pets in your life.
  • Arkansas Arts Academy culinary students are selling home baked dog treats
  • Face Painting with Miss Teen Arkansas
  • Sherrets Photography Selfie Station for you and your pups
  • Humane Society for Animals Pop-Up Adoption Shop and Check Presentation by Chuck's Pastel Pet Portraits.
  • Rogers Public Schools present Little Monsters art exhibition at 121 W Walnut Street. Featuring art by students from Rogers High School, Bonnie Grimes and Reagan Elementary Schools 
  • Arkansas Arts Academy Elementary School Dance Performance
  • Ballet Westside Dance Performance
  • Art on the Bricks Art Walk features a variety of artists and pet product vendors in locations throughout Downtown Rogers. 
Marcia Davis exhibits photos from her series of pets and people. 
 
VIP Pets of NWA
Let your pet be part of the festivities! The public is invited to submit digital photos for inclusion in a photo exhibit during the May Art on the Bricks Art Walk. You may also deliver a print photograph or write a favorite memory at the Rogers Experimental House booth at Railyard Park between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to be added to the Art on the Bricks Pet Tribute Wall. Photos of ALL pets (finned/feathered/fury) are welcome as we celebrate our Dog Friendly Downtown Rogers.
 
 
What’s Happening: Every year in May, Art on the Bricks Art Walk highlights our Dog Friendly Downtown Rogers. 
The Rogers Experimental House wants you and your favorite fur babies (past or present) to be part of the exhibition!

Send your best digital photos of your beloved pets between now and May 10 and they will be included in a digital display during the Barks on the Bricks Art Walk, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 11 at the Rogers Experimental House, 121 W Walnut Street, Rogers AR.
 
Several high quality images will also be printed and displayed on a giant RXH Pet Celebration Wall at Railyard Park.
