April is National Car Care Month so we decided this is the perfect time to introduce you to our friends at SubieGurus! National Car Care Month comes around twice a year, every October and April. These months bring attention to the importance of regular preventative car maintenance and care as we begin planning road trips for summer and again during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. And while it is a nationally recognized month, we know our community appreciates supporting local, so we invite you to get to know a local business owner who is a great promoter of Downtown Rogers.

Justin Bulla, owner of SubieGurus, felt extremely lucky when the building at 218 N. 1st St. became available just as they were were looking for a place to start our shop in 2019. Bulla lives right up the street so he was thrilled. "The timing just worked out," he reflected. "We love being so close to everything and exploring downtown has now become part of our customer experience," he continued.

SubieGurus has a very welcoming waiting area, but it tends to remain empty when the weather is nice. "Folks bring their bikes, kids, or animals and just take off." A lot of his customers schedule services at lunch time to take advantage of the numerous restaurants that are within a few minutes walk. "I always appreciate the diversity and variety of people you meet on any given day," he continued. Bulla continued, "Downtown Rogers doesn't have a type. It's not flashy or artificial. There is something here for people of all ages, races, socioeconomic statuses."

We agree with Bulla that the diverse community in DTR is a result of the variety of businesses that have made Downtown their home. The City of Rogers has invested in infrastructure and business owners have worked to provide amenities and an atmosphere that welcome individuals and families. "Everything is so close and you really feel a sense of community when you are here," he continued.
When asked how he would describe his experience as an entrepreneur and business owner in Downtown Rogers, Bulla responded, "A big part of doing business here is just making friends. When you treat people right, tell them what their car needs as if you were telling your mom, they come back and you get to know them," he shared. "There is plenty of automotive work that actually needs to be done, so we only sell the services our clients need, not whatever we can get customers to buy," he continued. "It'd be hard to go home feeling good about yourself with that business strategy."
We invite you to like and follow SubieGurus on Facebook and Instagram to see what they are up to and also which quality of live amenities they appreciate and promote in Downtown Rogers.
