How it all started: Rogers Downtown Partners, a volunteer led non-profit merchants’ association, was incorporated in 1993 and served the downtown business community through 2021. The organization hosted festivals, shopping events and other marketing activities to attract patrons to Downtown Rogers until it dissolved in December 2021. One popular asset was the annual Go Downtown Rogers Map and Shopping Guide.

The big picture: The Rogers Lowell Chamber worked with the merchants’ association to maintain the Go Downtown Rogers brand (now a program of the Chamber) including social media accounts and website assets. The Chamber made a connection with NWA Media, a division of the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, and the merchants’ association former board of directors to consider continuation of the popular map. In partnership with NWA Media, Go Downtown Rogers released the new 2023 Go Downtown Rogers Map and Shopping Guide which can be found in shops, restaurants and offices throughout Downtown Rogers and is also available throughout the region.

Why it matters: Locally owned DTR businesses benefit from this map which provide visitors and newcomers with a easy to navigate and consolidated shopping guide.
