The 7th annual Frisco Inferno Barbecue Competition & Tasting takes place Saturday, October 8th at 301 S 1st Street in Downtown Rogers. The official barbecue tasting competition of Bikes Blues & BBQ, the event is at the center of all the Downtown Rogers Rally Week festivities. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers, the event features smoked pork butts and chicken for a public tasting event with up to 25 barbecue teams competing. Teams will also submit smoked pork butt and chicken leg quarters for the judges choices awards with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place judges choice trophies in each division. $3,500 in cash prizes and trophies will be awarded. There are still a few slots left and registration to compete is available online.

This Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers fundraiser supports the mission of the club while inviting the Northwest Arkansas community to sample delicious smoked fare prepared by teams of corporate groups, backyard barbecue experts and restaurant owners. The ticketed tasting event takes place from noon – 2:00 p.m. and additional BB & BBQ Rally Week activities include live music, a beer garden and vendors.

Downtown Rogers is home to the Frisco Inferno BBQ Competition which has served up good eats during Frisco Festival and Bikes Blues & BBQ. Bikers, barbecue lovers and music fans will find a welcoming community and lively festivities again this year. Dozens of locally owned retail stores, bars and restaurants have become popular locations thanks to a biker-friendly atmosphere and scheduled activities. From morning to night, there will be plenty of food and a lively beer garden and live music. If your business wants to reach the food-loving crowd, you still have time to register a team or sponsor this event.

Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers meets most Mondays from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at The Shire Gastrolounge, 117 W Walnut Street. Members learn about community organizations and businesses and participate in service projects supported by fundraising efforts including Frisco Inferno. Proceeds from the event go toward numerous service projects in Rogers, our region and the world.  Projects include: Litter removal from the main trail circling Lake Atalanta on the 3rd Saturday of each month, Donation and distribution of dictionaries to all third-grade students at Frank Tillery, Northside, Russell Jones, and Garfield elementary schools, donation of books to the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter, donation and distribution of wheelchairs through the America Wheelchair Mission, Support of the Rotary District 6110 Medical Supplies Network, and more.
