David and Holly King decided to pursue an adventure in jewelry design and repair in NW Arkansas in late 2019. As a self-taught jeweler with a background in mechanics and metalsmithing, David began to build a business model to help solve the perception that owning custom jewelry is only for the affluent. “Custom jewelry should be available for anyone wanting to express their personality or style without an inflated price tag,” explained Holly. The couple designs each individual piece with the customer in mind using their skills and talent to make each piece unique. With the help of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and international sourcing of gemstones and diamonds, the Kings strive to offer a relaxed, stress-free shopping experience where beautiful, custom jewelry is affordable.

Initially they started their new business in Elm Springs, Arkansas and set out to make jewelry available to anyone wanting fine or gemstone jewelry that had a story behind it. With the onset of the pandemic, they worked remotely from their off-site studio and concentrated on how to grow a business with high quality products and service without a retail location. Devine intervention and a client to client referral resulted in an invitation to open a new studio and storefront in Rogers, Arkansas. After discussing what this truly meant for the future of Morris Crown, David and Hollie embarked on the next chapter of their business and their lives.

“Downtown Rogers has been a blessing for us with a variety of new clients that had not previously heard of our jewelry line,” explained David. “We are blessed with the best new and repeat clients any business could hope for,” he continued. While they describe themselves as “just David and Holly at the jewelry store down the street,” they are committed to offering the most affordable, unique, and glamorous one-of-a-kind designs found in NW Arkansas. “We are focused on a simple set of guidelines for our business and life—enjoy each day, love what you do, treat each customer like you expect to be treated and have fun making beautiful jewelry.”

For all those wanting to visit their downtown Rogers store, be prepared to be greeted by their Morris Crown Australian Shepherd Fur Baby, “Cash King.” This fuzzy bundle of energy was named for one of his parents’ favorite musicians, Johnny Cash. Cash is the newest addition to the Morris Crown family and is just over a year old. For those who have been with them from the start, their first Fur Baby “Jax King” will always be with them in spirit. Jax was there when they started the business and helped them move into their Downtown Rogers location before passing over the Rainbow Bridge. Always in our hearts and never forgotten.
