Northwest Arkansas has experienced tremendous job and population growth over the past 20 years. Workforce education and skilled labor supply are key workforce development issues regionally and nationally. The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to fulfilling the workforce and talent pipeline needs for the region as part of its Economic Development mission-work.
Aligning Curriculum to Needed Job Skills
The 2022 Annual Stakeholder & Family Engagement event will be held on Tuesday, April 12 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Rogers High School. The event offers an opportunity to share information about career programs and network with local business, industry, and community leaders about career opportunities with Northwest Arkansas companies.
This year's event will feature two speakers, Dr. Kevin Fleming, and Ross White, who will share information about the importance of career readiness planning and essential skills that will help prepare students for jobs in the 21st Century workforce. A light dinner will be served beginning at 4:45 p.m.
In addition to the April 12 event, Dr. Kevin Fleming will share virtual sessions on April 13 with students, counselors, educators, and administrators.
Rogers Public Schools looks forward to hosting these special events and sharing the information with students, parents, staff, and community partners.
