Northwest Arkansas (NWA) has grown into a must-visit shopping destination. From shopping malls, department stores and boutiques, to one-of-a-kind antique shops, NWA shoppers enjoy a variety of retail, services and restaurants typically not found in markets its size.
To help local merchants increase sales during these challenging times, the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce and its Visit Rogers and Downtown Rogers Inc. divisions are promoting #ShopNWA in social media during the holidays.
What Happens When You #ShopNWA
According to a recent Civic Economics Study, over two-thirds of the money spent at locally owned businesses stay in the community. Further, local businesses donate to local causes and nonprofits at a higher rate, help create jobs in our community, and carry a wider array of unique products because they buy for the unique needs of their community. When one shops locally, it is an investment in entrepreneurship and generates tax revenue that supports teachers, firemen, police officers and many other essential professionals that make the community strong.
