With COVID-19 causing so many changes in our society, including disruptions to in-person events, the Small Business Council has decided to offer online videos for current and future Chamber members to view Chamber Tutorials (formerly known
as Member Orientations). In-person Chamber Tutorials will continue to be offered when health and safety guidelines allow so that attendees will be able to enjoy networking with other Chamber members, but the online videos will now be available for the convenience of viewing anytime.
“The Small Business Council is thrilled to provide pre-recorded info sessions as a great compliment to our in-person Chamber Tutorials,” said Erin Reinker, Chair of the Small Business Council. “The volume of information/services provided by the Chamber is substantial and can be overwhelming, particularly for new members. By offering pre-recorded sessions, we hope the chamber information will be less intimidating and easier to navigate through the specific Chamber offerings” Reinker continued.
A typical Chamber Tutorial is 90 minutes and covers all aspects of the Chamber’s benefits to members broken down into the four sections: Business Promotion; Involvement; Community Development; and NWA Business Resources. Each of these sections will now be broken down into smaller videos using both Chamber staff and members of the Small Business Council to present the information.
This online offering will allow current and future members to view the information on their schedule and help maximize their membership.
“We are always looking for new ways to inform and promote small businesses in Northwest Arkansas and are very excited to see how this approach will benefit Chamber members,” Reinker said.
The videos will be filmed in July of 2020. Be sure to follow the Chamber’s social media pages for updates on when the videos are available for viewing online.
