Early Care Educators of Today Lay the Foundation for Tomorrow

Posted by: Michelle Wynn, Child Care Aware of NWA on Thursday, January 30, 2020

Early childhood education and childcare options are major decisions for parents and have lasting impacts on current and future generations. Not only is it important to ensure that children are getting the care they need while parents are working, but it is just as important to ensure that those providing the childcare are adequately trained, educated, and compensated. Child Care Aware of NWA, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families find childcare and providing communities with free parenting classes, received a grant to survey the childcare landscape in Washington, Benton, Carroll, and Madison counties. The below chart shows the results of that survey.
