The Rogers Public Library Foundation is hosting Top Chef NWA on October 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Metro Appliances and More, 801 Metro Pl. in Lowell.

The 7th annual Frisco Inferno Barbecue Competition & Tasting takes place Saturday, October 8^th at 301 S 1^st Street in Downtown Rogers. The official barbecue tasting competition of Bikes Blues & BBQ, the event is at the center of all the Downtown Rogers Rally Week festivities. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers, the event features smoked pork butts and chicken for a public tasting event with up to 25 barbecue teams competing. ​ Teams will also submit smoked pork butt and chicken leg quarters for the judges choices awards with 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place judges choice trophies in each division. $3,500 in cash prizes and trophies will be awarded. There are still a few slots left and registration to compete is available online.

Natural State Beverage Company creates natural sodas and delicious kombucha. Founded by co-owners Krista and Ty Cloud in February 2021, they first set up their operation in a small commercial location in Bentonville and have recently moved to a significantly larger location at 215 S Arkansas, just North of Jiffy Kwick. As the popularity of their natural sodas and delicious kombucha grew, they quickly recognized the need for more space to increase production so they purchased the property at 215 S Arkansas, which has previously been home to a laundromat, an appliance shop and a church.

Yo + Aqui (I + Here) - A Newcomer's Journey is the theme for the Downtown Rogers Art on the Bricks Art Walk scheduled for September 8, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Artists and other creatives share their stories related to moving to NW Arkansas.

The Beaver Lake Literacy Council initially distributed reading and tutoring materials in 1972 to any interested Arkansans out of the trunk of a car in a parking lot, in Rogers, and charged students for the materials.

Arkansas Public Theatre begins its 37^th season at the Victory Theater with the first performance set for mid-September. Season 37 Memberships include tickets to all Main Stage Performances in the 2022-2023 season with early access to your favorite seats and complementary tickets to the Season 38 Preview Party. Members are also able to receive complementary ticket exchanges 24 hours before showtime. Patrons may contact the theater by phone or online to become sponsors or purchase season tickets. Individual ticket sales for each performance are released a few weeks prior to each opening based on availability. Tickets are available at arkansaspublictheatre.org or call 479-631-8988. Tickets range in price from $20-$45. Doors open at 1 hour before shows start.

This marketing and brand management agency is comprised of a team of business strategists, marketers, and designers who have made it their mission to elevate businesses through a variety of creative initiatives that drive results while attributing their success to hard work, dedication, and lots of coffee!

In early 2020 Vania and Mark Greco began making candles as a hobby. However, it wasn't long before Vania was inspired to start a business even though--or perhaps, because--the pandemic was in full swing. The young entrepreneurs began selling their products in pop-up shops and farmers markets throughout Northwest Arkansas. The popularity of their products continued to grow, and they made the decision to open the storefront at at 112 N 3^rd Street in Downtown Rogers. 

Dance with Me Studio by Aura is a ballroom & Latin dance studio and club located at 210 E. Chestnut Street in Downtown Rogers, Arkansas. Owner Aura M. Maurice is a Renaissance woman with an incredible amount of talent. She is dedicated to sharing her passion for dance as a professional performer and instructor. She brings social dancing to her students using a fun, fast and easy learning process. Her studio offers group and private lessons for adults and children as well as social dance nights.

The Board of Directors is the policymaking body of the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, and its members represent a cross-section of the business and professional leadership in our community. In accordance with the Bylaws, a Board Nominating Committee was appointed earlier this year to recommend vacancies that will expire December 31, 2022. The Frame Shoppe in Downtown Rogers has been a locally owned framing resource since 1975. Already an experienced framer, Kerbie Lansford first contacted The Frame Shoppe about employment in late 2014, but the owner didn’t have a need, but mentioned wanting to sell in a few years. That fortuitous phone call resulted in the opportunity for Lansford to purchase the business at 215 N 3rd Street in January of 2016. As the owner of a locally owned frame shop, she has taken advantage of resources available to small business owners including developing her first business plan and applying for and securing an SBA Loan with the help of the University of Arkansas Small Business Technology Development Center. Today she continues to realize her dream of owning a frame shop and gallery.

Music Moves and the Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society are partnering with Crowne Group and the City of Rogers office of Arts and Culture to host the inaugural Railyard Jazz & Blues Block Party Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30, 2022. This is part of the Railyard Live Concert Series presented by iHeartRadio at Butterfield Stage in Downtown Rogers. The two day event is designed to bring the community together in a celebration of Jazz, Blues, R&B, and Soul music.

We’ve all heard of speed dating, but how about speed friending? Ozark Beer Company is not only making great craft beer, but also making opportunities to connect people within the community to make new friends. This "speed friending" event works like speed dating, but with the objective of making new friends. As we age, it may feel more and more difficult to create real, genuine friendships. And having friends is important to us both physically and mentally. According to William Chopik, a professor of psychology at Michigan State University, “friendships become even more important as we age. Keeping a few really good friends around can make a world of difference for our health and well-being.”

Pedal It Forward invites the community to join them in Downtown Rogers on July 23, 2022 for a celebration of the world’s best bike films with a screening at Arkansas Public Theatre. This event will feature short film selections from the Filmed By Bike festival, raffle prizes from local sponsors, pre and post-event gatherings for ticket holders, food, beverage, and opportunities to connect with people and organizations from within Northwest AR bike culture. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Pedal It Forward’s mission. Pre and post screening networking is also scheduled. 

The craft beer community in NW Arkansas just got a little more worldly. Ozark Beer Co. is collaborating with BlackMan Brewing, coming to us from South of the border. The new collaborative craft beer offering will be featured during BITE LITE, a component of the 2022 Bite NW Arkansas Event Series which kicks off at Railyard Park in Downtown Rogers on Friday, July 29. Ozark Beer has been working with Bite NWA from the beginning. This year they have the opportunity to bring to the party, nomadic brewer and founder of BlackMan Brewing, Barrett Tillman. Together they are creating a new taste of Northwest Arkansas.

We have a passion for curating and providing essential resources for starting, running, and growing business for businesses of all sizes. We also open doors to new connections for our diverse group of small businesspeople through entrepreneurial events and programming like the new Northwest Arkansas Community Showcase coming in October.

Each year, the Daisy Airgun Museum creates a custom engraving for the annual Downtown Rogers, Arkansas, Limited Edition Model 25 BB gun. This is a fully functional Model 25 Daisy BB gun with laser engraving on the stock.  This year, Daisy chose to highlight the Opera Block, located at the Southwest corner of Walnut and First Streets in our Historic Downtown.  The annual issue of this and gun will be closed when 500 guns have been produced or on the last business day of 2022, whichever comes first. The gun includes an insert card about the image and building.

On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) will host a public premiere of “Uncharted,” a locally produced documentary film that follows the journey of three tiger cubs. Prior to their birth, The Department of Justice asked the Eureka Springs based big cat refuge for immediate assistance to help rescue 68 animals from the Tiger King Park. Upon arrival, TCWR staff suspected one of the females could be pregnant. Their caregivers' main goal was to have the mother raise the cubs on her own and the triplet birth was a success.

However, soon after they were born, the animal care staff realized something was wrong. This documentary follows the journey of a rescued mother tiger, her cubs, and the hard-working people that dedicate their lives to giving animals a second chance at life. The film officially documents, for the first time in history, the treatment and rehabilitation of tiger cubs with Flexural Tendon Contracture.
