With the continued growth and development of Rogers, Lowell, and Northwest Arkansas workforce development has become a top priority. Our thriving businesses need top-level talent across all employment sectors to keep growing and creating jobs. Bringing up the next generation of workers and training the current workforce is something the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is fully committed to doing.
K2J Connect is a program of the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce designed to bring industries and educators together to talk about workforce needs and brainstorm how to get the next generation interested in careers and fields that have hiring needs. K2J Connect also includes a parent’s forum where parents hear about the workforce issues in our area and learn about current and future career opportunities for themselves and their children. A typical K2J Connect event will have educators from at least 10 different school districts and employers from a variety of industries and fields.
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission has training funds available for new and expanding industries throughout the state that can assist in training new hires or new training for existing employees. Contact Steve Cox, VP of Economic Development, for more information on these programs.
